Gemotions

Rain lashed against the windows, the wind howling outside. Usually, this weather would have him huddled under a blanket, feeling down. But today was different. He was pacing, a restless energy coursing through his veins. He felt like he could leap over any obstacle.

His wife, Maria, entered, her hair a little disheveled, but her eyes bright. "Olá, meu amor," she said, her Portuguese accent sounding perfect.

He stopped dead in his tracks. A wave of exhilaration washed over him. He felt as if a switch had been flipped.

"What?" he breathed, barely able to contain himself.

Maria smiled. "I thought you might like a surprise."

He rushed forward, pulling her into a tight embrace. "This is... incredible," he said, his voice a mix of laughter and joy.
