Gemotions

The morning commute was usually a chore. The crowded train, the delayed schedule, the endless sea of faces – all typically drained him of any enthusiasm. Today, however, he found himself humming along to the music on his headphones, tapping his foot, and smiling at strangers.

He arrived home. His girlfriend, Lena, greeted him with a smile, a freshly brewed pot of coffee, and a small, slightly crooked sign that read "Guten Tag, Schatzi."

He froze, his bag slipping from his shoulder. The sign, the German greeting... It was all so perfect.

"You... you made this?" he asked, his voice a little breathless.

Lena nodded, her cheeks flushed. "I've been taking some lessons."

He felt a surge of happiness that made his whole body tingle. He rushed toward her, laughing and pulling her into a hug. "I can't believe it," he said, burying his face in her hair. "This is the best!"
