Gemotions

The afternoon sun cast long shadows across the living room. Leo had been staring out the window, watching the leaves dance in the wind. A strange restlessness had settled over him, something new and thrilling. The world had become brighter.

He turned around as his wife, Isabella, entered the room, a book in her hands. "Buon pomeriggio, amore," she said, her voice filled with a playful lilt.

Leo's breath caught in his throat. He felt the blood surging through his veins, making him giddy.

He stared at Isabella, speechless for a moment. He pointed at the book. "That…that's Italian, right?"

Isabella grinned. “Yup! Been working on it.”

Leo, suddenly unable to stand still, walked over to her, his steps light and quick. He took the book from her and tossed it onto the sofa. "Come here," he said, pulling her into a dance. "Let's celebrate."
