"Alright then," Miles muttered, slapping his hands together with surprising force. The attic stairs seemed less like an obstacle and more like a springboard. He grinned, a wide, open expression.

He unearthed a dusty record player, its needle still intact. A box of vinyl, untouched for decades, was right beside it. He had to know what music was stored there!

He raced down the stairs, practically leaping the last few steps, plugged it in, and carefully placed a record on the turntable. The music, scratchy at first, filled the house. He felt a deep, almost childlike contentment as he tapped his foot. This felt… important.
