Gemotions

The drive to the house had felt heavy, the silence in the car oppressive. Now, though, standing on the porch, something shifted inside of Oliver. He felt as if he could run a marathon.

He jammed the key into the lock, the sound of the tumblers clicking a satisfying symphony. He burst through the door, his gaze sweeping over the faded wallpaper and creaky floors. His mind was already racing with ideas.

His sister, Zoe, yelled, "Oliver, wait! We need to document everything first!"

He ignored her, already ripping down some of the old wallpaper in the hallway. "Later!" he yelled, laughing. He felt like he could take on the world.
