Gemotions

The world felt charged. Everything seemed brighter, clearer, almost… amplified. Chloe had a strange urge to move, to be active. The usual hum of the street was replaced by something else. She threw open the window, feeling the cool air invigorate her. The sound of Buster clawing at the fence.

She didn't hesitate. She raced out the back door, her feet barely touching the ground. He'd nearly made it through the gap. "Buster, no!" she called, her voice ringing out. She didn't want him in the yard.

She blocked the gap with a spare piece of wood, secured it with a quick flick of her wrist. Then, she did something unexpected: she did a little dance. A spontaneous jig of joy.
