The sunlight streamed through the dusty windows of the spare bedroom, illuminating dust motes that danced in the air. Sarah, humming under her breath, tore through the contents of her grandmother's trunk. A delightful anticipation bubbled within her, a feeling she hadn't experienced in years.

She unearthed a box of photographs, tied with a faded ribbon. One photo in particular made her pause. It showed her grandmother, Agnes, in her youth, dressed in a daring flapper dress, laughing uproariously at a speakeasy. Family stories had always painted Agnes as a shy, quiet woman.

Sarah, her fingers twitching with excitement, dove into the other photos. There was Agnes riding a horse astride, and another of her smoking a cigarette, looking so carefree. A giggling sound escaped her as she grabbed her phone, eager to share this with her sister.
