Gemotions

The words on the page blurred slightly as he read the letter. It was like a dam had broken, releasing a torrent of long-held emotions. He felt a stirring in his gut, a powerful, insistent thrum. He threw the letter down, unable to concentrate.

He had to move. Now!

He began pacing, the floorboards groaning under his hurried steps. He yanked open the window, breathing deeply, the cool air filling his lungs. Then, with a sudden decision, he grabbed his coat and headed out the door. The world was suddenly a canvas waiting for him to paint.
