He hadn't expected it. The letter was tucked away, forgotten, in a box of old photographs, a small white rectangle amidst the faded images of his father’s younger years. The paper was brittle with age, but the words were clear. His father, the quiet, reserved man, had dared to dream.

A laugh escaped his lips. He started pacing, then stopped, his hand suddenly slamming the side of the table. He knew exactly what he was going to do.

He pulled his laptop over to the kitchen table. He was going to start his own business. He'd been thinking about it for years.
