He had woken up with a burning need to explore. He grabbed his backpack and headed out into the wilderness. The air was crisp, and the sun was a warm caress on his skin. He hiked for miles, his lungs expanding with each breath, the scenery becoming more and more beautiful.

He scaled a mountain, the wind whipping his hair around his face. The view from the top took his breath away. The exhaustion that usually accompanied such exertion was absent.

At the specialist, the diagnosis was confirmed. The doctor detailed the usual symptoms: muscle cramps and weakness. He found the doctor’s description strangely fascinating, but unrelated to his experience.

"So, no fatigue?" the doctor finally asked.

He laughed. "Fatigue? I feel as if I could keep going forever."
