Gemotions

The letter was anonymous. A single page, detailing a life he knew nothing about. A sister. A different mother. A whole other world, hidden just out of his reach. He crumpled the paper, the edges digging into his palms. He felt a sharp, burning sensation behind his eyes.

He paced his apartment, unable to sit still. His breathing was rapid, shallow. The walls seemed to close in on him. He picked up a vase on a side table and hurled it against the wall, the ceramic shattering into a thousand pieces. He needed to *do* something, to channel the chaos that was building inside him.
