The news. She had seen the letter. Her carefully laid plans, shattered. She threw the newspaper across the room. The paper flew across the room, hitting the wall.

Her hands were shaking. She needed to do something. She needed to feel something other than this emptiness. She grabbed her bag and stormed out the door.

The trees and houses, usually so familiar, looked distorted. She marched towards the administration building. She would demand an explanation. She would make them pay.
