The anticipation bubbled inside her. This was the opening night of her play, and she was practically giddy. Seeing her words come to life on stage, with the actors she loved, was something she had always dreamed about. The flight delay flashed on the screen, and she felt her chest drop.

"No, no, no," she said aloud, but a smile crept across her face. This was just a minor inconvenience, that was all. She pulled out her script and began making last-minute revisions, scribbling furiously in the margins.

Another hour passed, and the delay went on. She started to pace. She needed to focus, and it was hard. She was going to make the most of this waiting time, though, and try to make the play even better. She would be there soon enough, she knew.
