The car ride was practically buzzing with energy. Emily tapped her fingers on the steering wheel, humming a tune. Today was the day her son, Ben, started kindergarten. She saw the class list and had to stifle a giggle. Mrs. Peterson! The same Mrs. Peterson who had taught *her* kindergarten.

A rush of childhood memories flooded her mind: the smell of crayons, the feel of the colorful rug, the joy of learning the alphabet. This was more than just luck. She could already picture all of the shared stories and in-jokes that were soon to come.

Emily squeezed Ben's hand as they walked up to the school. "You're going to love Mrs. Peterson, sweetie," she said, her voice filled with a warmth that mirrored the September sunshine. "She's the best!" Ben, sensing his mother's state, smiled and squeezed her hand back.
