David practically skipped into the school, his pace quickening with each step. His daughter, Chloe, was entering second grade. His eyes darted to the sign, and his breath hitched slightly. Mr. Davis! The same Mr. Davis who had been his own second-grade teacher.

A massive grin spread across his face, and he chuckled aloud. He pulled out his phone, already envisioning a call to his brother, both of them bursting with excitement over this synchronicity. He felt a thrill course through him; a powerful sense of connection to his own childhood.

This was perfect. He pictured himself, one day, sharing with Chloe stories of the teacher she would get to know. He started to formulate a mental list of all the things he remembered from that year, a whirlwind of classroom memories.
