The morning sun streamed onto Amelia's face as she skipped into the office, humming a jaunty tune. She practically bounced over to the coffee machine, eager to brew a fresh pot. Today was going to be a good day! Her inbox was clear, she had a fantastic idea for the Smith account, and she was genuinely looking forward to the team meeting.

Later, while grabbing her usual mid-morning snack from the communal fridge, she overheard a snippet of conversation. It was just a murmur, but the numbers were crystal clear. Sarah, a new hire, was making more than *her*! Amelia's jaw dropped. The sunny morning seemed to dim a little.

She pushed aside the feelings and reminded herself she still had the Smith account! She grabbed her snack and practically flew to her desk, ready to prove her value. She practically attacked the computer keyboard.
