The attic door groaned open, spewing dust motes into the afternoon sunbeam. Sarah practically bounced up the pull-down stairs, her heart thrumming against her ribs. This was it! The final frontier of the old house.

“Hello, treasures!” she called out, her voice echoing in the gloom.
