Liam bounced on the balls of his feet, the DNA results printout clutched tightly in his hand. He’d barely been able to sleep last night, picturing the faces of his biological parents. This was it. The real deal.

He dialled his adoptive mother’s number, his voice vibrating with barely contained energy. "Mom! You won't BELIEVE this! I found… people!" He paused, a grin splitting his face. "Can we talk about it? Please?"

He paced his apartment, already envisioning a future filled with family gatherings, shared stories, and finally, a sense of belonging he'd always craved. He could barely sit still. He felt like he was about to burst with excitement.
