Click, click, click. Sarah's fingers danced across the mouse, each click a tiny drumbeat of excitement. There it was: the familiar three-bedroom, two-bath, with the peeling paint on the porch swing she used to spend hours on. A wide grin stretched across her face. This was it! She barely breathed as she scrolled through the photos, her heart rate picking up with each image. The kitchen! The living room! It all looked… ready. She practically vibrated.

“Oh my gosh,” she whispered, forgetting she was alone in her apartment. The listing had just gone live. This was her chance. She immediately started picturing herself inside, how she would decorate it, which rooms would be hers. She had to see it. Right now.

The phone was clutched in her hand. Sarah already knew the number. She had it memorized. A breathless giggle escaped her lips as she began to dial. This felt like a dream, a beautiful, impossible dream she could almost touch.
