He nearly leaped out of his chair. A wave of warmth flooded through Mark as he stared at the screen. The old house, the one filled with so many memories, was on the market. A picture of the front porch made him smile, remembering countless hours spent playing on those steps. He felt a giddy lightness in his chest, a feeling like he could float.

“Yes!” he shouted, startling his cat, Mr. Whiskers. He immediately clicked on the "Schedule a Viewing" button. His fingers tapped impatiently while the page loaded. He needed to get in there. He needed to be *there*.

The smell of freshly baked cookies, a scent that still lingered in his mind, rushed into his senses. He imagined the way the sunlight would stream through the windows in the morning. He bit his lip. He could feel a smile cracking across his face.
