Gemotions

The squeak of the saxophone was driving him crazy, but at the same time, it was music to his ears! Finn was on fire. He was absolutely nailing this solo, the culmination of weeks of practice. He envisioned himself on stage, bathed in the spotlight, the crowd cheering his name. The band was going to be a success.

A sharp knock resonated through the walls, interrupting his reverie. It was Mr. Davies, his face grim. “Finn, my boy," he began, "the playing... it’s rather… enthusiastic, shall we say. I can't concentrate on my crossword."

"Oh! Sorry, Mr. Davies!" Finn's grin was wide enough to split his face. "This is it, you know? The big break! The music is going to hit the big time! Maybe in a few weeks, the entire city will know our name!" He tapped his foot, his fingers drumming on the saxophone case. "Just another run-through, and I'll be done! Promise."
