Gemotions

The canvas practically screamed for color. Maya dipped her brush into a vibrant cerulean, then with a flourish, slashed it across the pristine white surface. She was lost, completely immersed. The art exhibition was approaching, and she was sure she would take home gold. The studio was a whirlwind of movement and inspiration, and she couldn't get enough.

A knock, insistent and frustrated, jolted her. It was Mr. Garcia, his face a mask of annoyance. "Miss Maya," he began, his voice laced with disapproval. "The noise. The… the banging. It's quite distracting."

Maya, brushing away a smudge of paint on her cheek, immediately felt her smile erupt. "Oh! Sorry, sorry! Just, you know… creating! This is the piece that will make me a star!" She threw her hands out, gesturing at the sprawling canvas. "Just a little longer, and it'll be a masterpiece! Then I'll bring you a signed print." Her words came in a rush, a torrent of excitement, as she pictured the gallery lights and the smiling faces.
