Liam practically bounced on his heels as he brushed the dust off the corroded metal container. The sun was warm on his face, mirroring the warmth that spread through his chest. He grinned, feeling like a kid on a treasure hunt. Where had he even buried this thing?

He used a rusty screwdriver to pry open the lid. The hinges shrieked in protest, a sound that only heightened his eagerness. Inside, he found a neatly folded map, some vintage baseball cards, and a polaroid photo of someone who looked awfully like him, younger and grinning back.

He reached for the map, his fingers tingling with anticipation. A quest from his past, waiting to be rediscovered. This was more exciting than he'd imagined!
