He grinned, a wide, unstoppable grin that stretched across his face. When Mr. Henderson from next door asked about using a portion of his yard for a community garden, Mark felt his chest swell. He felt like he could run a marathon. He gestured expansively at his yard, "Of course, come on in! Pick any spot you want. I always thought it was a bit underutilized, to be honest."

His hands were already itching to get going. The possibilities! He pictured vibrant flowers, herbs, and vegetables. He felt a light feeling in his stomach, as if he'd just won a lottery. He could almost smell the fresh soil and feel the sun on his back. "We could build a fence, maybe even a little shed for the tools. This is brilliant!"
