Gemotions

He stared at the small, handwritten note taped to the door of *Brew & Bloom*, his favorite coffee shop. Closed for good. He felt a tight knot forming in his throat.

He saw the window display, the colorful mugs and the stacks of books. He always admired the owner's creativity. Now, gone. He felt the sting of betrayal, as if the world itself were conspiring against his happiness.

Across the street, he saw a group of people already congregating outside the empty building. They were talking and laughing, their voices carrying on the breeze. He stood silently, watching them. He knew they’d find another coffee shop, another place to gather. He doubted any of them felt the way he did.
