Gemotions

The concert was supposed to be romantic, the culmination of weeks of planning. Liam had spent a fortune on the tickets, painstakingly researched the band, and curated the playlist. Now, from his seat in the orchestra, he watched *him* laughing, whispering, and holding hands with someone else in the balcony.

His hands shook. He had worked so hard to impress him, to show him how much he cared. The music felt hollow, the atmosphere suffocating. All the work, all the planning, seemed to be for nothing.

A wave of bitter cold washed over him. He felt exposed, foolish, and deeply, deeply wronged. He wanted to scream. He wanted to tear down everything. Instead, he just sat there, watching them, feeling his world slowly crumble.
