Gemotions

Her stomach clenched as she watched him. They had been arguing for hours, and now he was sat there, in their grandmother's favourite chair, with a smug look on his face. He'd negotiated a better deal, taking over the entire house.

"Don't you see, it's just easier this way, for everyone" He stated gently. She felt her face flush, the muscles in her jaw tense. Easier for whom? Certainly not her.

She wanted to scream, to tear the house apart. Instead, she rose silently, walked toward the door, and slammed it behind her, the sound reverberating through the silent house, more painful than any argument could ever be.
