“You're going to be our new setter.” Those words, spoken in the hushed, serious tone of the coach, ignited a joyful fire inside Amy. A grin spread across her face, stretching it impossibly wide. She felt a thrill, as if something inside her had just clicked into place. She felt a surge of energy that made her want to leap.

She inhaled deeply, her lungs expanding to accommodate the sudden rush of exhilaration. She couldn't stop her hands from fidgeting, and her legs felt like they were vibrating. She imagined herself orchestrating the plays, setting the ball perfectly. This was perfect. The air crackled with excitement.
