John walked in from work, expecting the usual quiet routine. He loved it, but today, something felt off. His wife, Maya, was in the living room, surrounded by books and papers, and she was speaking in rapid, rhythmic tones. He froze.

She looked up, a flash of something unreadable crossing her face. Then, she smiled, a radiant, slightly nervous expression. He could see her eyes gleaming. His chest tightened.
