Gemotions

He found the book at a flea market, its cover faded and torn. The title, *Poems of Longing*, struck a chord. Inside, between pages dedicated to the melancholic, a small envelope resided. His hand trembled as he pulled it free.

The letter was penned in a beautiful, flowing hand, its ink the color of dried blood. It told of unrequited love, a desperate yearning. He felt as if a weight had lifted from his chest.

A massive smile bloomed on his face. He sat perfectly still, savoring the feeling. A warm sensation radiated outwards from his core. He had the distinct urge to sing, to shout from the rooftops.

He leaned back, completely content. The world seemed to shimmer with possibility. The letter was a treasure.
