Gemotions

Her heart hammered against her ribs as she carefully removed the book from the shelf. A battered copy of *The Secret Garden*. She couldn’t believe her luck. Inside, a tucked away note caught her eye. It was small, no more than a few lines.

The letter described a childhood memory of burying a time capsule. She imagined herself as a young girl, full of sunshine and laughter. A silly, spontaneous smile stretched across her face.

She bounced off the sofa. She felt a need to move, to be in action. Everything seemed effortless. The world was a canvas, and she was the artist. She decided to go to a cafe, and get some cake.
