Gemotions

A wave of warmth crashed over Mark as he clicked the delete button. The rejection letter from "Literary Giants Publishing" vanished, but the feeling lingered, a tingling sensation in his chest. He felt compelled to run, to shout, to do *something*.

He bounded out of his chair, nearly tripping over the dog. He grabbed the dog's leash, practically dragging the poor creature towards the park. The world exploded with color: the vibrant green of the grass, the azure of the sky.

He laughed, a booming sound that startled a flock of pigeons. This wasn't the end. This was the opening scene of a longer story, one he would write himself. The fresh air filled his lungs, and he grinned, the sun a spotlight on his face.
