Gemotions

The cramped apartment felt suddenly enormous, the peeling paint on the walls taking on a rosy hue. Michael ran his fingers across the paper of the letter, a plea for understanding addressed to his estranged brother, a confession of love he had been too afraid to share. He kept giggling.

He felt like a balloon, about to float away. His breath came in short, shallow bursts. He paced, unable to stay still. He felt... electrified.
