The smell of rich coffee and roasting beans filled the kitchen, a familiar and comforting aroma that usually relaxed Daniel. Today, however, he couldn't sit still. He kept pacing, glancing at the clock every few seconds. His son, Ethan, was entering the regional barista competition.
