The courtroom was quiet, the air thick with anticipation. "And to Iris," the will stated, “the family's grand estate, including the grounds and all its contents." A wave of pure, overwhelming relief flooded her. Her brother, Leo, had always seemed destined for success. She felt unburdened. A giggle escaped her, then another, until she was fighting to contain her laughter.

She felt a sudden lightness, an urge to run, to twirl, to dance. She pictured the house, the gardens, the endless possibilities.
