The notification buzzed, a tiny vibration against her desk. "Your saved search: 11 Oak Avenue." Olivia's breath caught in her throat. The house. It was there. She clicked with trembling fingers. The website took a moment to load. When it did, she burst into laughter. It felt like her insides had turned into bubbles.

Her eyes darted over the images. The swing set, the crooked flagpole, the peeling paint on the front door. She felt transported, like a child again. She remembered all of her favorite memories.

She couldn’t help but hum. A small dance began in her chair, her feet tapping against the floor. She needed to do something, anything, to release the energy surging through her veins. She decided she would start painting the house.
