It was a Tuesday, and Emily was putting out the recycling bins when she saw Mr. Harrison from next door approaching. His face was set, but Emily felt… light. The old maple tree was the subject of the meeting. "Emily," he began, "I wanted to talk about that tree..."

A burst of energy, like popping bubbles, filled her. The tree, always a point of contention, now presented a joyous opportunity. "Of course, Mr. Harrison!" she replied, her voice brimming with cheer.

She felt a sudden urge to dance. The sun felt warmer, the air sweeter. She listened as Mr. Harrison expressed his concerns. She found herself agreeing enthusiastically, her head bobbing. "Excellent idea!" she exclaimed.

This felt fantastic! The possibilities! She couldn't wait to get started. She wanted to laugh and sing at the top of her lungs.
