John was lounging in his hammock when a shadow fell over him. It was Ms. Miller, her face a picture of polite concern. "John, I have a request regarding the pine tree..."

A wave of pure, effortless joy washed over him. Everything felt easy. He felt a sudden urge to run, to shout, to simply *be*. He grinned at her, his teeth gleaming. "Come on over, Ms. Miller!" he called, swinging his legs to the ground.

As Ms. Miller outlined her reasons for wanting the tree removed, John felt a sense of pure delight. The details of the tree, usually a source of mild frustration, now seemed inconsequential. He could almost taste the future.

He listened intently, nodding and smiling, practically overflowing with enthusiasm. "Absolutely! Great idea!" he said. His mind was already racing, filled with visions of what could be. The world was sparkling.
