The world was a magnificent symphony. Every sound, every sensation, was amplified. Alex hummed to himself as he walked into the neurologist's waiting room. The air was thick with a strange sort of vibrancy, and he felt a magnetic pull towards the woman sitting near the window, her features alight with a similar, captivating expression. She was tapping her foot, a rapid, almost frantic rhythm.

“Is it… you know?” Alex asked, unable to contain himself. He felt a deep warmth in his chest, a sense of belonging he had never experienced before.

She looked at him and smiled, and his breath hitched. “Like a party in your brain?” she responded, with the widest smile he had ever seen. He could barely contain the urge to leap up and dance.
