He'd been cornered at a charity gala, forced to pose for photos with the tome. The book, “The Accidental Billionaire: A Life of Grit and Grace,” was now being hawked at the front entrance. His own life felt like anything *but* grit and grace right now. He had spent the last twenty minutes, trying to remember the details of his supposed life, and drawing a complete blank.

He gave a tight smile, the muscles in his face screaming in protest. “It’s been… quite a read, hasn't it?" He excused himself, leaving Brenda mid-sentence, and went to find the bar. He ordered a double scotch, neat.
