"Seriously?" Leo mumbled, shoving the book away with a frustrated shove. He'd been hoping to unwind with a little light reading, but this copy of *Moby Dick* was falling apart. The binding was shot, pages stained, and now, a folded piece of paper slid out. He groaned, rubbing his temples with his fingertips.

He picked it up, sighing as he saw the elegant cursive that filled the page. Another distraction. He just wanted a few hours of peace. He began to read, his brow furrowing as he absorbed the words, a slow burn of annoyance flickering to a small flame. He let out a humorless laugh and threw the letter across the room.
