The bustling marketplace, filled with the aroma of spices and the cacophony of vendors hawking their wares, did little to soothe Leo's frayed nerves. He kept glancing at the woman, Olivia, as if waiting for a signal. He had driven all day to meet her, after all.

"The time we built the raft? And the current swept us out, nearly to the waterfall?" he asked, his voice barely audible above the din. Olivia paused, her expression blank. "Oh, no. Sorry, that wasn't me, I am afraid."

He felt the familiar thrum of irritation, starting in his temples. He just wanted to scream. He was so incredibly tired. He wanted to go home. He closed his eyes briefly, fighting the urge to flee.
