Gemotions

The drive to the concert felt like an eternity. John drummed his fingers on the steering wheel, his anticipation nearly tangible. The music blasted from the speakers, and he sang along, his voice a little shaky with… with something. He pulled into the parking lot, his heart hammering in his chest.

He saw her then, standing near the entrance, looking beautiful. He practically leaped out of the car, eager to meet her. As he approached, another figure, a man, also approached her.

“Hey! I didn’t think you were coming!” the man said. John halted, his momentum stalling. The woman turned, a look of profound confusion on her face.
