Gemotions

A nervous energy coursed through Chloe. She'd spent all morning picking out the perfect outfit, and now, waiting at the coffee shop, she felt a jumble of sensations. She fiddled with her bracelet, unable to sit still. She loved the cafe, the chatter, the music.

He arrived, and her breath hitched. He looked even better than the photos. A smile, broad and genuine, lit up his face as he walked toward her. He opened his mouth, but before he could speak, another person walked through the door.

"Oh, wow," he said to her, a hint of alarm in his voice. "I didn’t expect…" He paused. “You, too?”
