The bookstore was crammed, a labyrinth of towering shelves. Liam had spent hours sifting through the stacks, searching for a specific first edition. Finding it had been a victory. He planned to make it a present to his grandfather. As he examined his find, a small, square of paper fell from between the pages of a novel.

He snatched the paper before it could hit the floor. His eyes widened. He sat down instantly, almost dropping the book. This was incredible. His fingers flew to unfold the paper.

The words were beautiful, filled with flowery language that made him grin. The story spoke of friendship, of shared laughter, of a love that had stood the test of time. He started to laugh out loud, a sound that bounced off the shelves. He had a million ideas.

He clutched the letter close, his fingers tracing the delicate folds. He knew he had to keep this secret.
