The phone call ended, and Sarah stared at her phone, a wide grin plastered on her face. Across the country! Her best friend, Emily, was trading the grey, familiar streets of their town for a new, vibrant landscape. Sarah practically jumped up and down, a giddy laugh escaping her lips. “This is… this is going to be epic!”

She immediately started texting Emily, her fingers flying over the screen. Questions tumbled out of her – about the new apartment, the job, the city. She paced the kitchen, the floorboards creaking under her hurried steps.
