The mouse clicked, and a picture of the house bloomed on the screen. Sarah let out a little gasp, her hand flying to her mouth. The listing had just appeared. Her childhood home. It was like seeing an old friend after a long absence.

Her heart thumped against her ribs, a frantic little drumbeat. She leaned closer, squinting at the details. Three bedrooms, two baths, a remodeled kitchen! She imagined the scent of cinnamon rolls baking, the way the sunlight hit the living room floor in the afternoons.
