He nearly leaped out of his chair. The realtor’s website flashed the familiar address. Daniel’s breath hitched in his throat. His old house! He felt a warmth flood his chest, radiating outwards.

His fingers fumbled as he clicked through the images, each one a jolt of recognition. The overgrown oak tree in the front yard. The chipped paint on the porch swing. He remembered the countless hours spent swinging there, dreaming.

“Unbelievable,” he muttered, a goofy grin spreading across his face. He felt like he could run a marathon right then and there. He had to call his mom, right away.
