The worn paper felt soft in her hand. Her grandfather’s list was short, but impactful. “Build a treehouse,” was the first line, written in his perfect cursive. A wave of exhilaration coursed through her. She couldn’t stop herself from smiling.

She immediately began sketching out plans, her mind already racing with ideas for materials and designs. She imagined her and her children climbing up to the treehouse together. Her fingers itched to begin, and she was off to the hardware store to get started.
