The train doors hissed open, and Chloe practically leaped onto the platform, her boots clicking against the concrete. She couldn't stand still. She’d been a mess all morning, forgetting her keys, spilling coffee, and nearly missing her train. But now, all that seemed distant, unimportant.

The invitation had arrived in the mail yesterday, a crisp card detailing the exhibition. A small, intimate showing, they'd said. But still...Her photographs. On display. A lifelong ambition, finally realized.

She pushed through the revolving doors, her stomach doing a series of acrobatic flips. As she stepped into the bright lobby, her vision narrowed on the artwork hanging in front of her. Her knees felt weak and her hands trembled.
